The Gulf of
Mexico offshore of
south west Florida is well
known for its calm sea conditions and excellent year round ship wreck,
trolling, and reef fishing. Venice, Florida located just south of
Sarasota, Florida and directly on the Gulf of Mexico is the perfect
take-off point to access and enjoy this awesome shipwreck fishing.
Depending on the fishing season, you will catch all sorts of different
species of fish while trolling and wreck fishing.
Some of the
finest ship wreck and artificial reef fishing happens on the Gulf of
Mexico offshore of south west Florida. The live bait fishing and slow
trolling methods we use while fishing around these ship wrecks and
reefs produces some of the most exciting wreck, reef fishing possible.
Reef and
shipwreck fishing for grouper and snapper is good most any time of the
year. Other offshore fish such as kingfish, cobia, tuna, amberjack,
Spanish mackerel, dolphin, shark, barracuda, mahi, tarpon, permit, and
giant red fish are all caught using trolling and live bait around these
wrecks as they seasonally migrate through the waters of the
Gulf
of Mexico offshore of
Venice, Florida.
Our
fishing
captains have been fishing the shipwrecks and reefs of the Gulf of
Mexico for many years and know where and how to catch these fish either
trolling or live baiting.

Our custom
33’ offshore charter fishing boat LEGACY offers a huge
fishing deck area. This sport fishing charter boat is rigged for
fishing as well as your comfort, and easily accommodates up to 6
anglers. Recently the Legacy was totally upgraded with a new C-Series
Cummins Diesel engine package. What this means is a much faster and
more dependable boat to get us out offshore to the Gulf of Mexico reefs
and wrecks where the fish are!
On your
arrival, expect an experienced, professional and courteous fishing
crew.
We offer 4
hour, 6 hour, 8 hour, 10 hour, and 12 hour bottom fishing trips.
All fishing
equipment such as bait and tackle is provided, including offshore Gulf
of Mexico fishing licenses for everyone. We also clean and bag your
catch of fish. Families are welcome!
